Who we Are

The Las Vegas Climate Reality Chapter works alongside other climate activist groups in Las Vegas for solution-driven, evidence-based climate education and collaborations to address the intersection of climate and justice. We not only envision a world where climate dialogue is normalized and everyone has equal access to clean water, clean air, nourishing food, clean electricity, and a healthy and just environment, but we take action and bring awareness to these concepts as well.

We work towards creating a larger, more diverse, and sustainable movement in the Las Vegas area that leads to stronger climate activism at all levels, and provides for a just transition to a fossil-free future. We recognize that climate change is a threat multiplier and intersects with other areas of injustice, and will work towards creating a more just society for all.

Climate Reality Las Vegas Chapter was established in the summer of 2018 by a handful of environmental enthusiasts. In 2020 the chapter has its first growth spurt from 20 members at the beginning of the year to just over 100 members by 2021! With now over 200 members we have turned into an action-oriented group focused on impactful local initiatives to combat the climate crisis.
